VISION, MISSION AND GOALS FOR 2010
OUR VISION
By 2020, the Sandpoint United Methodist Church will grow to become the Christian church that responds in love to the community’s needs, and leads the community into a brighter future.
OUR MISSION
The Sandpoint United Methodist Church will make disciples for Jesus Christ and transform the world by responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual hungers of the community; and by leading the community’s efforts to eliminate poverty through education.

OUR PARISH
“The World” beginning with Sandpoint and Bonner County
GOALS
· 10% net increase in worship attendance: 80 to 88.
· 5% net increase in professions of faith: 6 to 7.
· 2 new outreach or evangelism programs: Circles™ and “Assaulting the Gates”.
· 100% payment of apportionments.
· Extend hours of Thursday Community Meal.
· Establish Community Breakfast ministry on Sunday mornings.
· Establish courtesy call ministry for those who miss worship.
· Establish “business card” evangelism and outreach ministry.
· Use drama to enhance worship during Lent and Advent.
· Create more banners and audio-visual displays to enhance worship.
· Support and expand Thursday “music and meditation” service.
· Establish Covenant Discipleship groups for more intentional faith development.
· Conduct community events for children and youth: Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk or Treat.
· Establish Ministry Investment/Reserve Fund of $1300.
· Establish a Covenant Relationship with a United Methodist missionary.
· Promote tithing, step increases in giving, endowments, and estate tithing.
